In support of Policy JKA and state law, all DPS center-based staff must be NCI-certified to ensure staff and student safety. DPS offers the non-violent crisis intervention/restraint training (NCI) to any interested related service providers and administrators. In order to remain certified, staff must attend a four-hour refresher course each year.
